About me

I've always had a fascination with rockets but since moving here in August of 2021, seeing a Falcon 9 launch in my first week and being on the door step to this industry it has made me fall in love with it all.

Back in December I was thrilled to graduate from my Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering degree where I focused my efforts in rocket propulsion and the associated fluid systems. I think most people start this degree with the desire to build and design engines that make big flames, which I know I did, but over these past 4 years the fluid systems in the background have really been what has interested me most. I guess I just want to be a space plumber!

During my time at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University I have spent the majority of my time as part of the Experimental Rocket Propulsion Laboratory as a member of the fluids division as well as 'Red Team' or test operations team. So far I've worked on progressing the feed system DRACO through 4 different engines from our first complete engine Odyssey, which was a hybrid engine that broke a 10 year hot fire dry spell at the Daytona Beach campus, all the way to our current engine and flight vehicle MOE which we hope will break the collegiate liquid rocket altitude record currently held by YJSP. Being a part of this club has been an amazing journey and I can't wait to use the skills I've learnt and apply them to real world problems in industry after I graduate.
